Mending Wall
I’ve got a few things on my mind
so I’m building a wall with them
And I’m not going to stop till I can’t see
the tops of the trees or anyone on the block
And the neighbors will forget I was ever there
And nobody will speak of me
My world will be so simply quiet and free
No Island
I won’t be the first
To ignore the notion
That I’m hardwired
To fail on my own
To know that my needs
and all I can give
is more than I’ll ever share
